Travelodge Carlisle Todhills M6

Great budget stop over. Clean spacious room. Quiet. Good value. Receptionist was friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and tidy. The mattress was a tad too firm for me, and considering it's right next to a busy motorway, I did get a good night's sleep. No hot food or bar service, and be mindful that there is no lift to the 1st floor. We used it as a midway stopover and it serve that purpose well.

Very clean room and bathroom. Quiet. Good night’s sleep. Perfect for after a long days drive heading for Scotland, though note this is on the southbound side of the road, so you do have to loop back when heading North, but really not a problem - just a few extra miles on the trip, and fast. (We came by electric vehicle - so the electric charges on hand were excellent. Also a proper Costa coffee for the morning, was nice too.)

We enjoy our day. Absolutely good service. Room is big and spotless. I recommend it. It’s located near the motorway.

Very clean, very basic, no pictures on the walls but all the necessities for a night's stop-over... and certainly can't complain at £32 on a Friday night for a double room and ensuite Plenty Tesla and other electric self charging points on site for our battery friends ..at least 6 of each I think Local Services: 24hr petrol station with M&S 24hr shop (smallish) with relatively good selection and obviously a little limited in choice unless it's booze and soft drinks you're after. Also a Costa coffee cafe on-site too (shuts at 6.00pm) Overall, good value but remember it's only accessible going SOUTHBOUND. (only 5 mins for U turn to go back up North)

I recently stayed at the Travelodge Todhills located on the M6 services, and overall it was a fairly positive experience for a basic roadside hotel. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, just somewhere to rest during a long journey, and it certainly delivered on that. The staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived, offering helpful information and making the check-in process quick and simple. It genuinely felt like they cared about guests getting a comfortable night’s rest, which isn’t always the case at service-station hotels. The room itself was quite simple, with very few extras, but it was clean and well presented. The bed was surprisingly comfortable considering the budget pricing, and the sheets, pillows, and mattress were all fresh and tidy. For travellers, this is probably the most important thing, and it’s something the hotel got right. Facilities were minimal but perfectly serviceable: a working TV, tea and coffee, a clean bathroom, and functional shower. Nothing luxurious, but everything did what it was supposed to do. Being located at a service station means there aren’t many on-site amenities beyond the essentials, but if you need food or a quick drink, there are a few options within walking distance. The main downside is that it’s clearly just a place to sleep rather than somewhere to relax or spend time. However, for an overnight stop, that might be all you need. Overall, it’s a straightforward, clean, and affordable choice for travellers, especially if your priorities are a good bed and friendly customer service.

Very very handy if going to Scotland and you want a break. We drive electric and there is a fantastic range of chargers in the car park. Downside, lots of workers so a little noisy at times but still highly recommended

Great for the price. Just be aware access is southbound side only and there’s very little there apart from some good electric car chargers, a vending machine and your bed!
